The function of the discs in the disc separator is to shorten the settlement distance of solid particles or liquids and expand the effective settlement area of the drum, thereby greatly improving the production capacity of the disc separator. The solids accumulated in the drum can be discharged from the drum through the automatic slag discharge mechanism without stopping the machine. The disc separator is mainly composed of import and export equipment, rotating drum, vertical shaft, horizontal shaft, fuselage, speed measuring device, brake device, electric motor and control system. The separated material suspension enters the high-speed rotating drum and enters the disc stack along the channel. Under the action of strong centrifugal force, the material suspension passes through the interval of a group of disc bundles. The external movement accumulates on the peripheral wall of the rotating drum with the neutral hole of the disc as the interface to form an outer layer. The liquid with a larger specific gravity (heavy phase) moves along the disc wall to the neutral hole and slides out of the disc area to form an intermediate layer. The heavy slag accumulates in the sediment area, and the heavy phase flows to the large centripetal pump. The liquid with a smaller specific gravity (light phase) moves inwardly to the center of the stock transfer along the disc wall to form an inner layer, and converges to the small centripetal pump. The light and heavy phases are outputted by the small centripetal pump and the large centripetal pump.
